Beyond the price however, StarOffice is a full-featured suite of programs that offer compatibility with various file formats and good cross-platform capability. But, is the latest version worth upgrading to or installing on your system?

QNX can do that and pack in a full featured web browser, internet dialing capability and support for many hardware devices. Now, they are giving away the entire OS and development tools for free... but is it worth checking out?

Corel Photo-Paint is the well known image creation and photo editing application. This great Windows application recently made the jump to Linux version and is available as a free download. Does it match up to Photo-Paint for Windows? Or should Linux users stick with GIMP?
